Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Stressed- bonnet won't open on 02 octavia

    So the Wife has her driving test at 4 tomorrow and we were going through the bonnet earlier. But it won't open (worked fine on tuesday) the lever in the car works but when I pull the lever under the bonnet it won't release. Any idea's? !

    Try pressing down on it while pulling the lever

    Not a long term solution but may get it open to see what's wrong

    So the bonnet pops when you pull lever in the car?
    But the lever underneath bonnet won't release it?

    Yes exactly. I went back out to it and had a look with a flashlight. It seems the lever underneath has come away from the release catch system.

    Would this need to be welded back or a new part altogether? Hopefully fixable tomorrow.

    Known issue with the plastic components in the bonnet release.
    A local dealer should be able to replace while you wait. I don't know cost.
