Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The RAFINO - Coffee Grind Refining System?

    The crowd-funding is over but I'm only after coming across this now. I don't even have a 'proper' grinder so I'm wondering what people's views are on the Rafino?

    After grinding you use its interchangeable sieves to refine the grind to your desired micron range. Is that not going a bit far?

    I saw this - I think it's a pretty neat idea and as someone studying Product Design, I wish I had thought of it myself. The only thing I'd be conscious of is that you have to be pretty quick with this, as once you've ground the coffee you really want to be pushing water through it within 30 seconds. I could see it being useful for people who are on cheaper grinders and want guaranteed consistency. For getting rid of coffee dust though, I wonder could you charge a plastic container up with static to separate the fines?

    I think it would be counter productive for espresso. Espresso needs a distribution of particle sizes or the water will pass through the voids.
