    Hi All,

My father has been paying Telecom Eireann/Eircom/Eir account by cheque for the last 50 years. Fibre broadband has recently come available in our area & we would like to avail of it. However we have been told we need to setup a direct debit. My father would like to continue the way he has paid the bill for years. Can he continue to pay by cheque?

    Thanks

    Hi Juansheet,

Thank you for getting in touch :)

Direct debit is mandatory to place an order for Eir Fibre.

Your father can still pay by cheque if he wishes to but it will need to paid 20 days before the direct debit is due to be taken out.

Your father can also cancel his direct debit after 4 successful payments but he will pay an additional €2.00 per month.

For any further queries you can contact our Customer Care team on 1901 and the guys will be happy to assist you.

    -Ciara
