Would be good to keep this thread for any new Humble Bundles as I'm unfollowing the bargains section. Can't get over €48 being regarded as a bargain price but I guess that's Nintendo for ya! :pac:

It's a great bundle but because I don't have a Wii U I can't really justify it for the likes of Street Fighter.

Good to see Nintendo getting involved in this though

$1 for Retro City Rampage: DX and Shantae & the Pirate's Curse is hard to argue with though!

Went in at €10 as I already have Street Fighter and Darksiders II, the extra mystery games should be revealed in just over 9 hours (11am Pacific time, so 7pm here)

I'm betting it's Shovel Knight and Olli Olli. Because I have them both and the universe likes to punish me randomly, Shovel Knight has been on sale on ALL formats in the last month and Olli Olli is a frequent humble flier. Also, both would be able to go Cross-buy to heap further shame on Citizens of Earth. All in all, it would be foolish not to make them the extras.

You can normally buy a HB as a gift, there's a tick box down in the purchase area.

Edit : Yeah, it's the last thing on the purchase form :

Given that shovel knight was on special offer at €9.99 in the eshop just last week I can't see them including it

..........but given that I purchased it at that price there's every chance they will!

Ah we all know it's a rip off (because of this thread), but you have to admire their entrepreneurial spirit.

If it was me, I'd have waited until the Humble Bundle was over.

Cheers for the heads up guys. Fantastic offer. Been meaning to get Affordable Space Adventures and Runbow for ages. Getting both(and a bunch more, and some DS titles for the niece and nephew) for under a tenner is ridiculous value.

Getting this bundle has finally pushed my Wii U beyond the initial 32gb. I don't want to spend a huge amount on adding additional storage so are there any issues with just using a USB stick instead of a HDD?

The constant reads can burn out the USB stick faster, but other than that, no not really.

Please don't use a USB stick!

It may appear to work at first but it will stop working very quickly and if you are a big eejit like me you'll have loads of saved game data on the stick and will lose it all.

Not to mention needing to download all your games again when the stick fails.

My experience was:

Plugged in USB.
Format USB (maybe did this before plugging in, either way if there is an option to format then do it)
Copied some games (mostly indies) and saved data on to stick.

Within an hour I was getting an error message that there was a problem with the USB memory.

Turned it off and on again. Same error.
Then I couldn't access the data on the USB at all.
I kept trying it but never could access the USB stick again via the Wii U.

Like an idiot, I tried this all again with a different USB and got the same result.

I would not recommend it.

I wouldn't use a USB stick. It's used all the time, even at times when you don't realise it. It'll burn out and you'll be left stuck up $hit creek. I use a USB stick on devices like recording programmes off TV and it doesn't always work or freezes. Best buy a cheap portable hard drive. I use a self powered 250GB hard drive and have never had a problem. Far more reliable and I've tonnes of memory left.
