incorrect payment amount

    Hi,
    I just went to make a payment off my gas bill but paid the full amount instead of partial payment.
    Is there anything I can do to reverse or cancel it as I won't have any money for the rest of the month if the full amount goes through.

    This query would need to be put to your bank, as you have just made the payment.

    We would recommend getting in touch with your bank immediately if possible.

    Hi again sham69,

    That is no problem - if you send me a private message confirming the Electric Ireland account number in question and stating you are the account-holder, your name, address and date of birth, we can organise sending you an EasyPay card straightaway.

    Just to clarify: how did you make the payment earlier this morning?

    Hi Una,
    Just to update you.
    I rang the bank.
    There is nothing they can do their side as the money has been taken.
    They did say that if Electric Ireland don't process on their side, the transaction will fall off after 3 days and be refunded.
    Is this something you can check for me or do I need to ring someone.
