Anyone remember cadburys topdeck? It was a slab of milk chocolate topped with a slab of white chocolate. Only ever available in the slightly bigger size bars, ie three squares across by 7 or 8 down, rather than the standard 8 square bar. They were absolutely delicious.

54321 chocolate bars. They must have spent a fortune advertising them as I still remember the song.

Also "poprock" (sp?) sweet powder. It used to pop/crackle in your mouth when you poured it in. I haven't seen a Lucky Bag in decades either.

Those old "Tenpenny bags" which newsagents used to sell. When I was a kid these were 50p but still called Tenpenny Bags..

Random mixture of mad E-number rich 1980s sweets, cola bottles, fizzy cola bottles, false teeth, little marshmallow things, a few flying saucers and a good dose of newsprint and e.coli.

Hellas Strawberry Chocolate-used to get a bar every week with the grocery shopping in Crazy Prices in the 90's.
It was the only reason I went shopping with my Mam; I knew she'd buy me a bar.

Golfball chewing gum- bland as feck but retro!

Fruit Basket-extremely flavoursome chewing gum; they were so fruity.

    Eyepoppers-extremely sour chewing gum.

    Boomy icepops.
    Super Mario ice-creams.

PK chewing gum. Banshee Bones. Ghosties. Maverick bar. Fuse Bar. Marble Bar.

    I miss them all!

Touchdown bars, there was a lot of eating in there for 10p.

There was a toffee bar too, covered in chocolate, yellow wrapper with a clock on it, you'd be chewing for hours.

    Big Time, they were called!
Jaysus they'd rip your fillings out.

I also remember a really hard toffee bar covered in thin white chocolate, called Lazer.

Our Dad worked in Urneys(later becoming HB Chocolates).

    Our house was full of
    Catch Bars
    Mint Catch Bars
    Rovals( Irish equivalent of Rolos)
    Mint Rovals
    beanies (Irish version of Smarties)
    Turkish Delight
Our favourite 2 and 2 bars (mum and Dad used to tell us they were their stash!!)

We were never short of visitors to the house.

    Good Times!

It's my mission in life to find out where I can still purchase these. There are rumours that surface from time to time of a shop that will stock them, but I've never found it to be true yet.

Pink Panther Bars. They were like Milky Bars except pink with a picture of the Pink Panther on them and they had a kind of strawberry taste.

Barry McGuigan crisps. I joined his fan club with some tokens from the packets. I had no interest in boxing but I was a fan of his crisps.

    Spring Onion Tayto.
