I'll be in NYC for the summer on a J1 and looking for suggestions of places to visit outside the city on days off, preferably with cheap bus tickets. Already considering Boston and Washington DC and I plan to leave early in the morning, stay in a hostel or Air BnB overnight and come back late the next day. Any suggestions…

If you happen to have a couple of days off, get up to Cape Cod in Maine or Bar Harbor! Bar Harbor is lovely part.
