Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Conba,

    1) I reckon you may already have a ~1.5L hot water dispenser at home, that can get water to boiling at the touch of a button! ;)

    2) The bean to cup filter machine: I haven't tried this particular model of batch brewer. It is a percolator with a metal filter so wouldn't be 100 miles away from an Aeropress in terms of body in the final drink.

My main concerns would be this machines ability to maintain a repeatable temperature, and being tied in to using what must be a fairly substandard grinder. I could be wrong but I assume the coffee that this machine makes might taste a little bit "stewed" or lacking in complexity because of this.

Personally, I prefer the control of having a standalone coffee grinder that I can use for multiple brew methods (V60, Aeropress, etc.) as this ultimately leads to the quality of my brews improving.

3)Haven't tried those beans, they're very much on the cheap side so I wouldn't expect to be blown away! I don't think that Aldi usually stock whole bean single origin coffees though, so it may be an improvement on their pre-ground stuff.
