    Hi,
The electric Ireland letter said I had to either pay a deposit of 300e or sign up by direct debit. I signed up for DD, and then a bill came on my adress I still owe the 300e deposit and it has to be paid by the 10th of this month.

what can be done? I would like to pay monthly by entering meter readin at the end of the month.

If someone could please help me,
    thanks
    Ana

    Hi Anapu,

Thank you for getting in touch.

This may just be a postal crossover - we can check for you if you send any of us a private message confirming the Electric Ireland account number in question, stating you are the account-holder, and your name, address and date of birth.

A bill will issue to you automatically every two months, based on a meter-reading taken by ESB Networks or Gas Networks Ireland (or an estimate if they do not read the meter). We would recommend only sending in a meter-reading after you receive an estimated bill.

We are here on Boards.ie until 6pm.

    Una
