Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Modric for me Clive.

He's been one of the game's few highlights.

This has been some anti-climax after last night. Toure is a disgrace. Him off for maybe Delph. We'll see Iheneacho soon I'd think too.

Seems to be completely escaping criticism though

Yep, worst performance I've seen from him by a mile. Slower to criticize him because he's given plenty of good ones this season.

What's up with Yaya Toure? He does not look right at all.

Can't decide if he is just not arsed or if he needs a sh*te the way he is running/jogging around the pitch.

He might decide to give it a go for five minutes or so which might be enough.

Hope Raheem shows a bit of spark and initiative. Real aren't amazing

Going by the first leg, i wasn't expecting much. As Houghton said, it doesn't really feel like a European Cup semi final.

Whoever signs him next are getting a regressing waster for sure. Can't see him lighting that fire again with a move. Not that he was ever big into the hard graft in my time watching him.

Kind of gunning for Real to score a 2nd so I can stop watching.

Yaya should never have come back on for the 2nd half. He looks finished at this level.

That's got to be a booking for Ronaldo!!

I smell a sucker punch goal for City in this one.

They should be well out of the tie already.

Madrid really need a second goal here. City are bound to get a goal

He's not been great but at least he's trying the odd pass and runs. Ya Ya is just like.....mm

Some header from Bale. He's been very good tonight.

I'd just play him as an attacking midfielder behind a front two. He's absolutely useless back deeper. Didi Hamann actually called that a few years back, when Toure was playing well and he got stick for it. But he was right.

Yeah it definitely has that sort of feeling about it. City will go all out in the last 10-15 minutes and could easily score.

De Bruyne really needs to be taken off.

That was a strange one, then he was laughing and joking with the ref definitely he should have been booked for that.

Wasn't given as offside was given I think.

Yeah but it looked like Ronnie didn't know it was offside and he blatantly hand balled it.

    Aguero has been awful

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,519 ✭✭✭Flint Fredstone

Thought that was fairly obvious. Ronaldo looked to be laughing as he grabbed the ball, he knew it was called offside.

    Aguero has been awful

You could save your fingers & say who hasn't. Awful game to watch with very little quality for this level of competition.

    Aguero has been awful

He's had no service, is he supposed to create the chances as well as score them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

De Bruyne is trying but nothing is coming off.

I fancied Madrid to be out of sight by now, especially with Kompany going off. I wonder if there is a sucker punch coming here for Madrid.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43,028 ✭✭✭✭SEPT 23 1989

    C'mon city

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

I cant believe how city still have a chance here, football can be a bizarre sport.

Turn things on for the last fifteen, classic

This Madrid defence will give up a chance yet, City aren't out of this.

Some of the city boys just strolling someone should tell them this is a European cup semi final.

Aguero plays like a lad who knows he'll start regardless of how poor he is.

De Bruyne has been disgracefully bad he's had an absolute shocker on the big stage tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43,028 ✭✭✭✭SEPT 23 1989

Rolling around like a pair of aul ones

That's what i'm assuming but the ref hadn't blown yet at that moment. It's no biggie, i just think he should have been booked. Then again, i'm biased because i think he should be booked for blatantly using the sunbeds.

Neither of these 2 will win the trophy unless they can play a lot better than this.

    Modric is pure class.

£50m we got for him hahaha.

I do hope City go through though.

Muck game, great chance for city to throw caution to the wind for last 10. Let's see if they have any spirit at all

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,179 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Dreadful game, not a patch on last night. Marcelo, he should get booked for his cheating dives. De Bruyne has been poor like many other City players.

Real Madrid will step up a gear against atletico and win it I reckon.

An all Madrid final will be poisonous with theatrics and diving

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 31,152 ✭✭✭✭KERSPLAT!

For all their attacking they've only the one goal to show for it. One decent attack is all City need.

    Very poor match overall.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Lads, if anybody is confused as to how things stand, make sure you're watching this on RTE as George is explaining everything. Basically, if it's a draw, City are through.

I think that may be down to away goals, but i'd really need George to expand on that for me to be sure.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 664 ✭✭✭price690

Madrid have been very compact the last few games, not giving teams a sniff in their half.

Not their usual approach but it's working

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

The Inch to grab one for City.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,370 ✭✭✭MonkieSocks

A Goal now, could do it for City....get in
