Unpaid direct debit fee

    Hi,

    My direct debit was due 2 weeks ago but I didn't have the funds in my account at the time. I got a letter saying it would be reprocessed in two weeks time, with a 6 euro fee added on to my next bill. It went through today, which is fine, but I noticed on my bank statement that 10 euro was taken out by Electric Ireland on the day the original payment didn't go through. Can you please explain why this is?
