    Hi,

Does anyone have any knowledge of the routes of the Darkness into Light events taking place in either Malahide or Skerries this weekend?

It is something I have ran with a family member several times in the Phoenix Park, but unfortunately their health means that not only can't they run it this year, they will also struggle with walking the hill towards the end of the phoenix Park route.

Does anyone know if either/or of the Malahide routes are flat? Or flatter than phoenix Park? It would mean a lot to us to be able to do it again.

    Thanks

The Skerries route is 5k starting & finishing at Red Island. I'd imagine that it will be a circuit of the town, so the only 'hilly' bit would be along Dublin Road.

    More info here.

Thanks Hilly Billy (apt name!). I've looked at the website but I'm not familiar with either route so I was hoping for some local knowledge whether there were any hills involved.

Hi Extraplus, we did the Malahide one last year, wasn't hilly at all. Problem was parking in the area, which is I'd say , an issue everywhere. We had to park in Malahide itself & walk to the start from there. Great atmosphere though, looking forward to it this year. Also, the track was quite muddy last year, forecast for rain Fri night. Hope this helps.
