I honestly think the only reason Jose could fall out with the United board would be because we cant complete transfers. If we reach the first weekend of the season and we dont have significant transfers completed then the signs wont be good for future windows. We just cant get a deal done like others can.

I have been jealous of chelsea and cities ability to get their business done early and hassle free by looks of it

it won't be long til the old excuses come out

    Players on holiday
    Players on international duty
    New manager.

Simple fact is united dawdle on deals - we don't execute quickly. That doesn't mean we can't get deals done, but it leaves us open to quick approaches (like Bayern for Sanches) and can leave us at a point where options are limited due to other clubs buying other potential targets.

Memphis been one of the earliest deals I remember in a long time, zaha as well but more a winter transfer

Thats where i am sure jose wont take **** excuses... get me the players i want now woody and stop ****ing around

I fully am behind jose but massive pressure on him now we need to get our house in order this season.

Maybe sanches wasnt a mourinho target lads.

The fact we broke bank for martial is a big positive he has the potential to be absolutely world class

Memphis is shockingly bad form wise at the moment and all season. I just hope the euros he gets a bit of his confidence back

We all thought LVG would put up with no transfer crap either. First summer under him was a mess too (but looked amazing in the end....)

Ah i agree to a point but lvg was ready to retire, jose i feel will want to make a massive statement of intent this window. I think the united job was past lvg. Would have loved to have seen him arrive if he was 10 years younger.

Well on paper, given their easy enough looking group, you'd have thought they'd have qualified without a problem, alas the group proved tougher than expected.

At least they have the 2018 World Cup qualifiers to look forward to in September.

If that indeed is true id like that explanation. Zlatan helping rashford and martial is a nice thought.

Vardy going to arsenal now instead

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,606 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Sky saying we were offered Vardy, but turned him down as Zlatan was close to signing, and the club see Zlatan as better with regards the development of Rashford.

Can't stand Ibrahimovic and all the meme-y bullshít that follows him but it's a pretty great signing to get in for a year.

    Denis wise has retired :(

Couldn't care less if Vardy goes over to Arsenal - yes he is a great player and could be the key to their problems but for some reason I am not too bothered by it.

Career wise, I think it would be wiser to stay with Leicester and experience CL football with them. But if he wants to spice up his paycheck, it makes sense I guess.

Regarding United signing the All Mighty Zlatan............Get In Boyzzzzz - absolutely buzzing for next season

Haha I absolutely love it tbh. The amount of abuse we are going to get next season from our rivals should be very entertaining :p:p

Manchester Evening News linking United with Pjanic.

Would be great to get him but its probably just an easy link, the other key points from the piece are interesting. They are that Jose will want things done early and some players not involved in the Euro's are more attractive options this summer.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,858 ✭✭✭Manutd_4life

The fact that it is a free transfer just makes it better!

If he was still tied to a contract with PSG, they'd probably put a 40-50 million price tag on him and then Woodward would come along and bid 60 million :p

Fantastic signing for us if it does go ahead, whatever we pay him in wages will more than be made back on merchandise. Injury record is pretty good considering his age and he's still banging them in, look at his scoring record during his psg spell, 50 goals last season alone. Between himself and mourinho, we'll be hated, love it

Sky's Zlatan story is via Andy Burton, who appears to have excellent connections to Mourinho. Lots of stories recently. Jose likes Sky.
