Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bayern being a legitimate contender for the Champions League will sway him. It's the only thing he hasn't won, more or less, and his nose-sized ego will want to rectify that.

Zlatan will sign for United United, bayern wouldn't be able to match anywhere near the wages we would. Done deal apart from medical according to sky

His agent is tarting him around. Nothing more than that at this stage. Agent and player have expressed interest, but nothing indicating that United are bidding.

Certainly wouldn't say he's "on his way" yet nor near it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,156 ✭✭✭DubDani

He has informed Dortmund that he won't sign a new contract, and in turn Dortmund have told him that he can go on a free next year, and that they won't accept any bids for him.

His Agent is not happy...but he is a dodgy guy anyway.

Seems his agent is getting his name out there, but if Raiola had a positive experience getting Ibra set up, maybe he wants to move more clients to us too. Now, if only he had a center midfield option we could have...

Full fixture list for United. I'll start putting this into opening posts of the thread once we hit a new thread.

Arsenal & Spurs away in the run in looks rough, and the end of November/start of December (Arsenal, West Ham, Everton, Spurs) looks rough too (though the three London clubs come to us for the run so not as bad).

Just to continue on from above the men are saying that mkhitaryan agent has said he would prefer United and also jose has had a big influence on de gea and it was him that convinced him to stay with United if it was lvg in charge still David would be gone.

    http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/dortmund-mkhitaryan-agent-manchester-united-11474810

I think mkhitaryan agent is slutting him around.

It'll be some smack in the gob if we lift the Premiership trophy in front of the Palace supporters on the last day,two trophys in a year against them! We can dream and with Jose its a possibility!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,137 ✭✭✭✭TheDoc

That looks a relatively nice fixture list. Nothing mental really and plenty of opportunities throughout the season. Chance for a strong start, or a strong finish. I always look around December January as I think that can be the crunch where teams solidify, move up or fall away, and our December & January looks pretty good.

Dortmund CEO said player will stay this season. So he'll leave on free transfer.

I'm not been smart but what else would he say ;) if he says Yeh we will let him go well then it lowers his price instantly if he says no no no like we did last summer with de gea it maximises the price. I would be surprised if he was still a Dortmund player next season.

I know they did similar with Lewandowski, but to me, thats just a smart thing to say from a negotiations point of view. Saying "We want rid of the player" does nothing but lower his value, and given they are talking about a player with a year left on his contract, and who is openly saying he wants to move, they don't have much power to begin with.

But they had no problem saying they player has rejected extension. They have lost Hummels, Gundogan already, Reus is injured, so maybe they don't want to lose any more senior players. Also player's agent said club want him to stay this season which was breaking the promise/agreement made by CEO.

I'm sure they don't want him to go but Dortmund can't turn down money for a player that can leave for free next year.

The player would of announced either way he has rejected a contract and also it could if been Dortmund way of letting other clubs know he has rejected a contract so come bid as high as you can for a player we officially want to keep.

They already did just 3 years back.

I agree that if we make a big bid then there is every chance he will be playing for United but Imo it's not so straight forward as they lost key players already.

    Nice fixture list.

What weeks are the Europa league games? Particularly likely dates in October as I will be away, will probably not see the Chelsea game as I will be in Texas.

Hopefully we get off to a good start, good we are meeting Pep's City team early in the season given the hype there will be, December looks decent.
I am hopeful for a very good season.
