Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Surely Carrick gets a new deal,
As for today I don't think I'll enjoy the game as it looks like LVG is here too stay long term! Really want Jose too come in! Be great for the rumour mill if he turned up in OT today

Worst case scenario he is here for one more season.

Fair enough but basically it was games like these against Bournemouth were we could easily put past 3/4 goals back in the day but now we are hardly putting the ball past the line and we usually get through with the help of the other teams mistakes

Yep though I think there's a good chance of a good result today, Bournemouth have had a few really lazy performances wince they've been safe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,137 ✭✭✭✭TheDoc

No chance today. Swansea resting a rake of players for the Euros and stuff, City know they need a win. They will surely get a convincing result.

top 4 missed out and then Van Gaal to go. Has to.

Bits and pieces going round from LVG's final message to the fans this season, from the programme. He says he has the impression he will be there next season, but in football, you never know. Thanks fans for the support. Doesn't mention next season at all beyond that though.

I have my two TVs set up.

The TVs represent the size of the club, so United on the large screen and City on the much smaller screen.
At least if City scores it is harder to see the score :P

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,406 ✭✭✭Korat

Even buying into the notion he might be around in September they'd have to give LVG a contract extension for another year whether or not they thought he'd be around to fulfil it.

A contract extension after the year we've just had?

1st of October and sitting above the relegation zone playing the same awful crap, fans have paid for Concorde to be put back into action to do a fly-by calling for his head. Woodward might actually get the bullet before LVG in that scenario. :)

I'm very much meh regarding champions league qualification. There's not one thing I can see in how LVG teams set up that makes be believe we'd be playing anything more than the group stages in it so I don't really care. If on the other hand we miss out then we'd surely be changing the manager.

I can't believe that somehow 4th place is seen as some to be a successful season by both LVG and indeed some on here. Have our expectations changed that much. We have very weak decision makers in the performance/playing side of the club that here we are supposedly praying for 4th. I'd take the FA cup right now for the season

You sure that's not from a different interview and not the programme notes.I read them quotes in an ESPN article earlier. Seen this comment on reddit.
No mention of "next season" in his programme notes, he goes over the West Ham game, mentions what we need for 4th today, and mentions that we have almost 0 injuries ahead of the Cup final.

Considering he's been with us for 10 years, and played nearly 300 games for us, there's a distinct lack of...well, anything...with regards today possibly/probably being Carrick's last game at OT.
BREAKING NEWS: Michael Carrick’s kids are United’s mascots today. Read into that whatever you please.

Im Just messing ya. I have the vu+ solo2 box I can have it on sky sports one and in the top corner I can have a small picture of the city game at same time. I haven't had a reason to use it before but I guess this will be the first time.

How much is the sky q?

Lol its not seen as a successful season who have you seen on here saying that?

Its seen as at this stage and after seen how bad we have been all season we would love to qualify for champions league at the end of a disappointing season that dont mean anyone says it's successful or acceptable,

just about every post on this thread is saying the opposite of what you seem to have read father...

Security at OT is unreal these days, you won't get near the stadium without bag searches and scans. You get patted down at the turnstiles.
