Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

West Ham not get it anyway with us 5th?

Haha I'm so happy. Was like another flash back to the 80s.

Embrace it lads. oh for some quotes from the last super thread where they arrived in droves gloating as if they were guarenteed CL football.

    Wohooo!!!!!!

Just shows the difference in supporters. United get 5th and to a cup final and it's considered a rubbish season. Liverpool get 8th and a cup final but they say it's been a decent season

Pool fans could get their revenge if Palace do us on Saturday so we best tone it down a bit!

    Tonight will outweight Saturday.

The difference is their fans expected to win tonight, i wouldnt be surprised if we lost on Saturday

Plus they had European football on the line for next season, for a club like them (or us) in need of fixing up, that was always going to be far more important than the trophy itself.

Sure they had their flights booked to barcelona for the group stages next season.

I guess it was brendan rodgers team in the second half?

Which is arrogance because that Sevilla team can play.

A lot of those lads playing for Sevilla are not only excellent footballers but they had won back to back ELs before tonight.

    More like a Woy team.

Coutinho will have his flights paid for by Barca so there's some consolidation for him.

It's like someone has died on BT Sport. They're devastated.

A team from their Cash Cow league got schooled by a team from the only top league in Europe they do not have the rights to show games from.

They not in Europa next year? Is that right?

The worry has to be that they follow in Leicester's footsteps and become the second small club in a row that hasn't won the premier league benefiting from no European football to win it for the first time...

I do because LVG will be retired to Portugal this summer, and Klopp hasn't done much in recent times.

There is not one honest United fan that wouldn't love to have Klopp as manager.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,290 ✭✭✭fatherted1969

There's an element to Klopp I don't like and I think ultimately it will be his undoing. I couldn't care less if a manager tears strips off a player, they get paid well enough to take it but he seems to do it publicly not behind doors. Done it with Benteke earlier in season. Thought I saw him stuck into Lallana during break in play tonight. 1 min later he was taken off. If he loses players he's gone no matter how big a manager he is. Players won't like him for that

    Over LVG?

    Absolutely.

    Over Jose or Ancellotti?

    Nah, yer alright.

You know things are bad when the "we have a better manager than you" argument comes out.

Watching MUTV and they are showing the FA cup game against Shrewsbury, so much talking about stuff that is not the game at times.

I dont even support liverpool. So Im not bitter at all. I just dont understand why football fans are complete dicks to eachother.

Sure the liverpool fans will probably do the same on Saturday if palace win

United should go all out to sign Ever Banega, he's been class for years . Is a great all rounder, can tackle and pass and would be a great replacement for Carrick and add much needed creativity. Been known to have had discipline problems in the past but worth the risk

Love is a strong word.he has been a very good manager in germany and he would be an upgrade on lvg for sure but he hasnt proved a thing in england yet he has taken over a team with two thirds of the season to go and he didnt improve the league position you can get to all the cup finals you want but no1 remembers the runners up.

It's not the trophy itself, fúck the piece of tin, it's the C.L. football for next season which is what I imagine most of us are...interested in them missing out on.

As for this coming back to haunt us at the weekend - No doubt there will be laughter from the rival fans if/when we lose, but as Rossi pointed out the difference is that most of us United fans don't expect this United team to be certain winners on Saturday. I will be gleefully surprised myself if we win.

Now, that and our season overall is more to be laughed at than Liverpool's loss tonight, but I guess that is why I'm enjoying this hour or two.
