    Hi all,

Thought i'd write up a quick guide on how to stop that annoying windows 10 pop-up from trying to install windows 10 on your PC. Just passing the love.

1 - start - control panel - Programs and Features - View installed updates (on left panel).

    2 - find or search for "KB3035583"

3 - Uninstall that and restart your computer.

4 - Go to windows update. Find this update in the recommended updates list. Right click it and select "Hide update"

5 - Ta-daa! The pop-ups are gone, and your PC will never again download this "update".

Or you could upgrade to 10,then go back to your os of choice 7,8 whatever advantage you have a key for 10 forever on your hardware.

In this case you sign Microsoft's T&C whatever those would be... <quote>....Microsoft's evolution of their Windows operating system platform into a service which, among other things, aggressively monitors and reports on its users activities.......</quote>

<quote>Microsoft has released new updates to enable you to block upgrades to Windows 10 through Windows Update. These updates install a new Group Policy Setting. Computers that have this Group Policy Setting enabled will never detect, download, or install an upgrade to the latest version of Windows.</quote>
If you wanna do it yourself google for KB3080351
