Central Dublin, sitting in front of a computer screen at work, but trying to think of someplace to bring the kids for a summer holiday. They don't cope well when it's too hot and we want to get out of Ireland for a change. All the best holiday places in Spain and Portugal seem to be booked up. The search continues.....

One of my kids' favourite place to go on holidays to was the Netherlands. We would stay with my aunt in the Hague, where there is an amazing beach called Scheveningn and the weather is like a good Irish summer's day rather than scorching hot. There are great wee things like Madouradam nearby or go to Amsterdam for a canal trip and a visit to Anne Franks house for a day out. There is also a great theme park a few hours away called Eftling.

Cheap flights and am sure you could find cheap accommodation. Happy days.

Anyhoo....I am sitting naked on me bed in hotel number 387ish trying to work but getting distracted by boards.

It's a deadly city. Once you are there hotels, food, drink and entertainment are relatively cheap.
On the down side the taxi drivers seem to like wearing string vests, try to overcharge and look like tanned Rab C Nesbits.

I've just watched a Doc on the RTEPlayer called After The Crash. Heartbreaking stuff! :( I thought the List was never gonna end. But the sad thing is, it won't, it's not going to... ;( ;( And ironically, I'm now just watching something called Carrick-On-Stag. Can call anything cringey and cheesy crap or not, it's all about making memories really! :)

Just extricated myself from the innards of a HUGE cardboard box full of varied and amazing knitting yarn... OH MY!

Dog thought it was great fun..

Wandering round with a dazed expression and yarn in my hand.. reviving myself with a large bowl of steamed jam pudding and custard.....

Wonder if Springwools know how much this means.... Bless them !

Just in from washing my car and that of a neighbour who called for a chat with Mrs. S, so that's the random act of kindness sorted for this week. About to relax with the crossword before setting the fire. I might do the crossword while sitting outside.
