Microsoft Word woes

I have a relatively new laptop running Windows 10. I have got rid of Microsoft Office latest version because they are looking to charge me $69 per annum to use it and I cannot spare that kind of cash.

I have an old laptop running Windows Vista Home version Sp2 and Word 2007 along with other programs in the Microsoft Office suite.

Is it possible to copy over Winword.exe to my new machine and run it from my new machine under windows 10?

is there any installer program that can do this for me and set up the Windows10 system to do this?

I am using Open Office at the moment but I find it difficult to remember to save docs as "97-2003" format ( .doc) extension and cause confusion among my email recipients.

    Any help would be appreciated.
