Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I can hear the thread death knell sounding...

Mitch Hedberg: "Rice is great if you're really hungry and want to eat two thousand of something."

Will wait for the official pott and then the torches will be out.

Shame, we'd built up a nice esprit de corps serving in the gammbling trenches over the last few weeks. Guess we can reunite for Russia 2018 (if it happens)

Well, in a few weeks the leagues in Europe start again so we just pick up our chairs from here and move them back to the daily bets thread again.

Yeah I guess, doesn't have the same sense of common purpose though.

I wonder were UEFA intending to award POTT on the basis of that barometer thing but are now figure they can't give it to a guy who hasn't had a really good game since the group stages.

    True enough.
Tournaments also bring the occasional punter in which is nice as it comes to different views and ideas.

So... thank you occasional punter. See you in 2 years?

No, its always been a committee decision where they deliberate over a few nice bottles of wine and then announce the result. The barometer thing was never meant for anything more than social media fodder.

Why couldnt they announce it at the trophy presentation like in the World Cup?

Can imagine the maffia UEFA had a pretty hard time to find a player of the tournament.
All of the better ones had at least 2 matches each were they were completely invisible.

Then the final being decided not by a big name but by some nobody playing for Lille, so can hardly nominate the guy who decided that one.

Best major competition since '02. Only because of our participation. These tournaments really aren't the same without Ireland in them. You can have all the goals you want but when you don't have a team to be emotionally attached to it's never going to be quite the same. So I really enjoyed it for that reason alone and I also wanted to put a positive comment in there somewhere. Also we won the same amount of games as the Champs.

Sort of, I've just drained my Bet365 account and most of my Ladbrokes balance just to avoid the temptation.

Never ask a gambler how much he bets, it's rude :pac:

    Can ask Small/Medium/Large

Decent tournament for mise. Up a couple of hundred, mostly thanks to that BTTS FH.

Suppose now it's back to Iceland/Chinese league betting :pac:
