But it's a clip from the eighties - when she was a lawyer - talking about a legal case. Surely, that's how she would have sounded - lawyer-like.

Are you suggesting that she should have tempered her opinions because she should have been conscious that she'd have a run at The Presidency three decades down the line?

Right, because you love so much what Trump is saying RIGHT NOW.

I don't listen to him or know anything about him and his policies apart from the crazy Mexican stuff. I just know he's the complete dlck that America deserves and he'll start less wars.

Sanders is a credible candidate and encouragingly he has a lot of support with younger voters. Unfortunately younger voters the world over don't turn out to vote in sufficiently large numbers.

What puzzles me is black voters rowing in behind Clinton in much greater numbers, when Sanders would clearly be the candidate agitating for profound reform of the health, welfare & criminal justice systems.

Never underestimate the effect that words like "socialism" can have on a voting American. The fact that Sanders got as far as he did when he's a borderline god damn commie is astounding tbh.

Personally think there's going to be a low turnout and Trump will get a narrow win. Hilary won't be driving moderates to the polls either.
Trump says he will do it but Mk2 Clinton has done it

Americans in the main seem suspicious of anything resembling a socialist policy. Look at the difficulties Obama faced with universal healthcare.

Would Trump be in any way better than Bush was for the world? Could he be way worse?

Why the **** don't Americans just vote for another party? It's like they feel they have to vote for one of the two big ones. Land of the free my hole.
Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

He wants to murder entire families who did nothing wrong. Yeah he's hilarious.

    Drones? Obama did that.

The guy is a fnuckin idiot and will get hammered if he gets to run.
One third of Sanders voters will switch to Trump rather than vote for Clinton.

He's merely articulating what Obama is doing. And in his foreign policy speach he did talk about not invading the world, not "nation building", was not hostile to Iran, he has called the Iraq war as being based on deliberate lies.

The people who hate him on the right are the imperialists.

If he moves to the left on most things (except immigration where he would lose votes) he'll best the warmonger.

Sanders might beat him though but has to beat the neocon first.

Would be great to see President Trump giving the Shamrock to Kenny next Paddys Day.

Also the FBI are still investigating Clinton, Presidential candidate or not I would imagine if they get something on her she would be indicted.

It's sad that people are so desperate for change, they see this clown as the answer. Even sadder that you have to be a billionaire to be heard. The real inspirational people never get the chance.

It's either a billionaire or a puppet of a billionaire.

Anyway sanders unfortunately isn't going win the democratic nomination. He might get VP, which would be good for the campaign I think.

This is absolute rubbish. Trump is no idiot. Be clear about that. He ran an excellent campaign againt the establishment.

Can he beat Clinton? Yes he can.

The IRS is currently auditing Trump. He refuses to release his tax details and continually lies about not being allowed to

Wonder what he's trying to hide

In what way is he the "American version of Boyd Barrett"?

    Go on, be specific.

Sounds like you haven't got a clue what you're on about.

He's a socialist, wants to tax anyone that does well for themselves.

What do you care anyway what I say about him, it's not going to affect you who the yanks elect.

I don't know about that. Trump is opposed to globalisation and free trade. So is Sanders. The former has pledged to bring jobs back to the US which will be bad news for the many Irish working for American multinationals.

I have a few bob on Trump at 3/1 and hope Sanders hangs in there.

Mind you its a good job for Hillary that their vote is rigged. She ain't winning a whole lot, and naming Sanders as Vp might do her a lot of good.

    Debates will be crackers.

Sanders has effectively been eliminated. He's picking up the odd victory but the nomination is in Hilary's pocket.

    I love this guy.
More and more, i'm finding myself hoping he becomes president.
The stuff he says goes against all my political views but still i 'd love to see him beat Hillary.

I'm reasoning first off that he doesn't mean any of the stuff he says (the wall etc). It's all just to get in.
And I actually do believe he gives a **** about America.
I also feel deep down he's a decent enough guy just playing the political system and having a fcuking great time. And he's hilarious.
Can't stump the trump videos on YouTube are brilliant BTW.

Just wanted to get an idea what ye think about The Donald.

Well, easy mistake to make I suppose...

I never said that being audited meant he was hiding something. Trump has used the audit to get out of releasing his returns. That could be viewed as him trying to hide something. Not necessarily anything dodgy or illegal. Some have said it's because he'll be shown to have lied about how much he's worth

He claimed that he could not release such things while an audit is underway. The head of the IRS came out publicly and rubbished the claim.

He also lied about various other aspects of it. Like getting audited every year for the past decade. Again, the IRS all but said that is untrue.
