Yeah I think wer gonna have bad weather until about July 8th then it will improve and be drier.

The long warm spells of May and early June may not be repeated but I reckon after the next 2 weeks normal(ish) Summer will resume

Rainfall Warning for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford
A spell of heavy rain during Tuesday morning is likely to lead to accumulations of 25-35mm with local spot flooding.

    Issued:Monday 27 June 2016 10:00
    Valid:Tuesday 28 June 2016 03:00 to Tuesday 28 June 2016 15:00

Grange's June 2016 statistics up to 11:00 on the 27th

Rainfall: 52.1mm (109% of the LTA)
Mean temperature: 15.1c (+2.8c above the LTA)
Sunshine: 145 hours (82% of the LTA)

It does not look like changing much in the next few days. June 2016 will be a wet, exceptionally warm and dull month overall. It will be the warmest June on record at Grange (records go back to 1986). Other than the warmth, June wasn't particularly remarkable.

Sunday 12th June marked the last day it was warm here, we had 21C on that day, the following week struggled on 13/14c here and then last week was average mostly 15-19c and the rest of this week is looking quite cool and wet.

Mid-July, the Met Office says so also. And like I said in a post here - they predicted the March dry spell this year and they were right in February.

No warning for Clare? Looking at Met Eireann at the moment the heaviest is mostly over Clare. Already some accumulations of water on the roads.

This is Ireland. Have a look at the map. We don't get wall to wall sunshine here for the whole summer due to our location.

Did you return to Spain during our period of warm weather?

What period? You mean that one week last month? I was here. But can you really call such an uncommon occurrence a place of return? It sounded like the guy was talking about a return to "normal" weather when this is it.

I recorded no rainfall for 19 days.

Anyway from Monday more normal weather will resume, still a little wet and cool just not as bad.

A pleasant evening last night put then temp dropped and the rain arrived and out stayed its welcome. Rain just stopped here in Leitrim but another band arriving shortly.
    The land is soaking.

This is normal weather, your optimism is misleading. No rainfall perhaps but then with big grey clouds constantly denying any sunshine

the dry patch last month was normal according the weather stats (may june are driest months).

For the rest of June, I am expecting fairly changeable conditions. However, I'm not just going to leave it off with that like most meteorologists say :pac: because I like to be specific. For the 14th-20th, I think you know what is going on - due to what MT is saying, unsettled and cool 'til the 18th and then unsettled on the 19th again but not cool. The period 21st-23rd I am thinking will continue unsettled and warm - sorry. Potential 23c around the 22nd, really depending on the sun. Then I am expecting an Azores high to be up at us sometime around the last full week with temperatures rising fast. This would give away to one of, it not the equal warmest June on record with 1976. It could bring lots of sunshine especially around the 28th/29th I am thinking.

The start of July is looking fine actually. It is looking very warm or potentially hot. If there won't be much sun - though I highly doubt that, the humidity will make it feel hot. After a very few days, it could break down though as the humidity and hot could spark off very heavy downpours with some potential very wet days - this is just based off of weather theory. BUT I am predicting the driest July in 32 years so it will most likely continue dry and sunny with hot conditions.

This is just a shot in the dark though. Mother Nature could change her mind and make me look like a fool here and do the opposite of what I said.

Well I have not got it exactly right but I have gotten a couple of things correct - the period 21st-23rd would be unsettled and warm.
