Yeah days with 20c or more in 2015 here

    April 9th / 10th, May 23rd, June 16th / 23rd / 24th / 25th / 26th / 27th / 29th / 30th, July 1st / 2nd / 3rd and August 12th / 13th / 18th

Looking at this year here, you would laugh at 2015.

How does 2016's maximum temperature compare with recent years?

    2016: 30.4c on July 19th
    2015: 25.6c on June 30th
    2014: 28.8c on July 25th
    2013: 31.0c on July 19th
    2012: 27.0c on August 10th
    2011: 26.0c on June 3rd
    2010: 26.4c on June 21st
    2009: 28.6c on June 2nd
    2008: 25.2c on July 24th
    2007: 25.9c on June 11th
    2006: 32.3c on July 19th

So counting all these years, 30c has only been reached or exceeded in 2006, 2013 and 2016.

What are you using to record these temperatures and how exposed is the site?

AWS max of 20.8c and plenty of sunshine this morning, it congested a bit between 11am and noon with an attempt of a shower, but quickly cleared and cloud broke up once more to give another fair day with lots of sunny spells. The low humidity combined with light breezes made it a good day, though yesterday was nicer.

Currently 20.9c at Grange, shaping up to be another 20c+ day and my, we have seen so many this Summer.

I have not had as much 20c+ days in August since 1995 with this August recording the second most 20c+ days for August in my records.

    1995: 28 days
2016: 16 days up to this point
    2013: 15 days

This last week of the month is making August above average here with sunshine now close to average and very warm.

Do you think the second half of August (besides the 17th, 20th and 21st of course) has vastly improved?

It has been very overcast for the majority of the week, with an hour or two of nice sunshine in the evenings, but it has not got over 20C all week.

    Currently raining now as well.

Absolutely roasting in Cork city today, I haven't felt this level of heat in at least 6 weeks. Can't post temperature reading but has a feel of 23-24 degrees.
