Howdy all just looking for a bit of guidance

Have had a siemens 8kg iq 300 wmp12p360gb for the last 5 years great machine never had a a problem with it does at least 5-6 washes a day owes me nothing.

Put it on for a wash this morning it worked fine, wash ended as usual put it onto the spin selection for an extra spin as its only a 1200spin.

Nothing happens timer starts at 13min then maybe after a minute it jumps down to 4 min.

Have pulled the machine out and removed the back cover just to locate the brushes but looks to me the motor has to be dropped out and dismantled to inspect the brushes on them.

Anybody have experience with siemens machine behaving like this could be totally wrong thinking it might be the brushes when in fact its the board at fault

thanks guys hope your all enjoying the nice weather:)

most likely brushes after that amount of work, drop out the motor and ideally blow out all the dust from the worn c/bs before fitting new ones .

Thanks for the reply, swapped them out earlier today cleaned all parts as there was a load of carbon dust everywhere.

Still no good when i select spin on the program it jumps from 13min to 5min straight away think this one is a bit too advanced for me oh well i tried.

make sure the new brushes are making good contact with the armature, that they are not sticking in the guides, ideally test the windings with a meter
