Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What do you think is fair price to sell a 3T 128gb for? Am I asking too much with €250?

You'll not get anywhere close to that.

Think you'd get 100 at most for it.

Maybe he should look at cex then who are giving anywhere from 142 to 213 depending on colour and condition. And their prices wouldn't be great versus the open market, but iv often settled for them to save hassle.

Think you'd get 100 at most for it.

The 64GB is going for close to 200 on adverts and can get 190 in CEX for the 128gb

No, the phone is being advertised for that kind of price, nobody will be paying that at all.

In CEX you'll get 190 for an absolutely mint condition phone. They'll knock tens of euro off for the slightest defect or discoloration.

Good luck to you, but there's not much market for a two year old model at they kind of price.

A 64gb went for 180 yesterday and 128gb went for 245 last week. CEX will give 165 for grade C and 190 for grade A, 100 is ridiculous imo

Anyone replace the battery on their oneplus 3?

I did a full reset on mine and forgot to enable battery optimisation, was at 20% after 3 hours off charge. Think a new one is required.

Been having charging issues or the last month in that my 3T won`t charge to above 30% and won`t dash charge either.

Had a replacement charging port fitted from a tech shop locally and it seemed to solve the problem. Alas, about a week later, same problems occured. Later tested the charging capability on a standard USB plug and saw it charge from 10% - 70% in an hour approx and so figured that it must have been the dash charging plug being the problem this time around.

Bought a new charging plug directly from OnePlus and it didn`t approve anything. After I seen the new charging plug didn`t improve anything, I tried it once again in the generic USB charger I mentioned above and it was unable to charge it above 30% either.

I`m absolutely at a loss as to what is going on with it. I carried out two factory resets throughout the last month also to no avail.

I`ve spend 60 quid between the charging port and plug now in the last month and am reluctant to spend more as the device is 3 years old.

Any suggestions on what else could be the issue? Battery? Charging cable? Sotware?

Not sure if you've voided your warranty by having the charging port replaced locally. Have you contacted oneplus about it?

If a phone won't charge above 30% it's a battery issue. Any competent repair person would know that.

This! I got my 3T screen replaced in a shop in Limerick and it was shockingly poor (cost 150eur). So bad I sent it back to One plus who replaced for 70ish. The phone is better than ever!

Didn't realise that was an option. Thanks for heads up.

Any point in getting them to replace battery at the same time?

My 3t has been a mess lately, barely can get through half day without charging it, and the 64gb are all used, have to go everyday, deleting and copying stuff. I'm moving to LG, need a phone with SD and proper jack.

Would you not just back everything upto the cloud? Using up all the internal memory will banjax your phone.

I really dont like cloud storage. Constantly cleaning I have like 1gb left.

Is it possible to get a new battery installed on a OP3T?

I'm sure its too late for you now, but I just got my OnePlus 3T back from their repair center today.
UPS picked it up on Friday and DPD (I think) dropped it back today.
Cost ~€32 in total to get the battery out of warranty.

    Hi Mcgovern,

Did the new battery make much a difference? I notice the battery in mine was discharging quite quickly of late. Would a new battery have it back to similar levels like when the phone was new or would that be wishful thinking?

Has anyone received the Pie update yet? Supposedly out on OTA but it's hitting different devices at different times, it's not a region update.

No issues with my battery. If anything there has been a slight improvement.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 86 ✭✭enryb12

Got the update via the oxygen updater app in the play store.

Have to say so far I like it, the phone feels alot quicker than it was yesterday, it's very snappy when selecting options/apps and changing between them.

I've only had it about 2 hours so can't judge the battery yet.

Any Instagram users for the OP3? There seems to be no option for music on Insta Stories, is a devoce compatibility thing?

I have the update now 2 days and pleased with the changes though as this is the last update it means i must start thinking about a ne wphone late next year.

I used Accubattery to measure the battery capacity. The old one was at 67% and the new one was at 95%. It's definitely lasting longer though not as good as it did originally. I put that down to apps being more power hungry these days.

OTA just popped up on my screen today so ill give it a go. I dont think I care too much about performance so long as this all works as it should. I really hope this improves the crappy notifications issues that have been bothering me for a couple of months now

I've the update pending but i'm holding off for now as I don't want the update to banjax my phone like previous updates. Maybe over the weekend i'll chance it.

Updated this morning and my phone feels a lot faster.

Update just finished and it was a good experience for me. Phone seems a little laggy but not v noticable. I'll wait for it to settle down before clearing cache and then going playing with it to see how good/bad it is.
Ive never hada update fail before on OnePlus.

OMG what have I done. The phone is gone horrificly slow and unresponsive. Also loads of weird hues on different screens - red on the lock screen and blue on the background.

Volume bar is changed and same with the power off menubar.
