Oil pump vanes worn - VW Passat

    Hi

    I have the oil pump shaft replaced last year in my 2008 2l passat, and now , mechanic saying the vains are gone (worn) in the oil pump - no oil pressure. said it was down to "carbon" ??!!

    Has anyone else experienced this problem?????
