Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ABS light on 07 Kia Ceed 1.6 crdi

The ABS light is illuminated on the dash on my 07 Kia Ceed crdi. At first it was an intermittent problem (coming and going) but now the light is always illuminated on the dash. Brakes seem fine.

Any ideas what the problem more than likely is? And is it an expressive fix for associated problem with the ABS system?

    Thanks

Bring it to a dealer to look at, could be anything.

You need to have the fault code scanned to determine what the issue is.

Its due a service in August should I just wait till then because the normal brakes seem to be working ok or is this an issue that need urgent attention?

I wouldn't, your brakes are the most important thing on the car, you don't know when you will need to use them in an emergency.

It could be something like a faulty ABS sensor on one of the wheels but a computer diagnostic of the fault code will point you in the right direction. I'd get it seen to sooner rather than later if it were me.

Was a sensor, sensor was €32+ vat and a hour and a half labour at €75. All came to €120
