    Just make sure that your contacts are synched to your gmail account, if they are locally on the phone, they are probably not backed up, so if you lose/break the phone, the contacts are gone.

    I find that the bluetooth transfer tools are a little buggy, and do not always work the same depending on which platform you are coming from & going to.
