I'm building a new PC at the minute, pulling from the previous examples on this forum.

    At the moment I have:

    Intel i56600k
    Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Intel Z170 So.1151
G Skill Ripjaws 4 F4-2400C15Q-16GRK 16GB Memory Module Kit (Just bought for 50 quid. Thanks HUKD!)
    Hynix SL301 250GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s SSD
500 Watt be quiet! System Power 7 Bulk

I have an standard ATX case that should fit everything and a 1TB HDD somewhere in the house.

Looks like a new raft of graphics cards will be released in the next few weeks, so I might hold off on the graphics till then. I can wait a few weeks with Intel graphics if needs be.
I'm looking to spend about €250.

    Is all this compatible?
    Am I missing anything major?

    All is sound.

I'd drop to a 6500 and put the rest of the money into the GPU, you'll need more than €250 for a 1070 I'd say.

Cheers, I'm getting mates rates for the 6600k from a lad in Intel, so it's working out cheaper than a 6500 from mindfactory.

TBH I'm hoping the new cards might depress prices of current stock, possibly looking for a Msi 970.

Ah you're golden then so, you'll also need a cooler unless he can nab a stock one for you.

I'd save for the 1070 thy

Fantastic prices on the CPU and GPU.

What are you doing for Power?

I'd add a HDD for general storage

Check if case fans are included in that case.

And/or if you can save another few quid for a more expensive one ;)

Are you in a rush to buy? I mean, the RX 480 will be out at the end of the month, no word on Euro prices, but $199.

    It's all bought.

I was going to wait for new graphics releases, but going by previous releases, the euro price is usually a good bit higher than the dollar (tax and conversions included) and the cards are OOS for a few months at any rate.

The 290x will keep me happy playing current games and those from years past I missed out on.

I'll upgrade to a new card in a year or two. The system is solid enough that it'll last about 5 years before I have to think about an upgrade.
