12v off grid lighting system - advice

    So I have picked up two big solar panels (freecycled from lighthouse navigation buoy skip) and two deep cell batteries. I want to run a 12v lighting system in an outbuilding, but don't know about the wiring and hardware for the lighting system.

    Has anyone done this before or can anyone recommend any good books on the subject?
