    Hello!

Does anyone know of a clothing alterations place in Dublin that could alter trisuits?

I've asked in one place but they were reluctant to try it as they were worried that their threads (cotton) could cause chafing?

If anyone has any ideas it would be great.

    Thanks

Could be tricky to take in depending on the fabric & stitching.

Never heard of anyone doing one so no help to you.

I asked the wife about this last night, she works in costume

Long story short, there may be some places willing to take this on but they will need to use specialist machinery and synthetic thread. There's also the strong possibility that the seams are bonded which stops you chafing in the first place so that's an added complication.

Doesn't look good I'm afraid but you never know, ringing around might be your best bet

yes i have done it cant rember the name but it was the chain with the yellow and black label , they are all over dublin
i went to the city centre branch which is besides Marks and sparks and colucis restaurant .
they did a brill job ( it wasnt cheap but they also ammneded quite a bit . totally worth it )
i spend 28 euro on the suit and 35 on tailoring it to have a top fitting suit that dosnt create any wrikles around the shoulders on the bike .
you just have to give them some feedback what you want ( ie they dont know how a suit should fit) but the craftsmanship was very good

I got suits taken in at the seam and changed chamois. 3 chamois and 2 take in's for 60Euro. Had to restitch at high stretch points where there was more pressure so maybe ask for stronger thread to be used overall. but good job though.

OP - just do what I do - have an early season Tri suit (massive) and a late season tri suit (tiny bit less massive);)
