I ordered this a while ago, 84.50 delivered for 7kW 5m. 32 amp 1 phase was the option. It came from France in a few days. Not a known brand presumably cheap product but I only intend to use in emergencies. AliExpress or similar.

I got one in black. Nice bag, but the strap always eases out to the largest opening within a couple of uses. What are you looking to sell for? Was considering using a few credits for one, but decided to save them up for something better when the referrals go live again.

Well it's advertised with an Adverts premium, to allow for the low-ball offers etc,.

You're welcome to make an offer ( here, by pm if you like) or on the Ad.

I have a figure in mind and if it's near enough then it's yours.

I imagine it's going to be very difficult to sell something like the ioniq with a38kwh battery in the current climate 😬

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,210 ✭✭✭joe1303l

If it’s priced right and is in good condition, it’ll be gone in a few days. Cheaper EV’s with some warranty left are selling well. Its the €25K+ EV’s that aren’t moving

As much as I am a fan of Ioniq, I agree. That price segment of the market is crowded at the moment with lots of cars offering very good value for money.

Hey, would appreciate any suggestions for the following wanted request 🙏

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,210 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Consider stretching the budget upward even if it means a small car loan over the next 12 months. Fuel/Service cost savings will assist with loan repayments. Insurance may be slightly cheaper too on a newer car.

Thanks for the replies. The person in question isn't in a position to get a loan now, what might be an option is to get a car within budget that may not be ideal in terms of range, but that will suffice for now and then when they are in a position to take a loan out, they could upgrade. This is an option that's being sold by a long time boards user who knows their stuff with EV's etc, so could be a safe bet for now. The range will just about get them to work and back, but it might be more risky in the winter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,733 ✭✭✭✭ELM327

An early leaf (and I have one!) won't do 70km on the motorway in summer let alone winter.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 66,220 ✭✭✭✭unkel

Not at 120km/h GPS speed. That's why you never see an early Leaf drive at those speeds 😂

Would appreciate any thoughts on my ad below? Think I have been realistic with price of €9500, leaving room for a boardsie discount of course... Trade in offers were of course derisive!

Looks ok to me, but seeing as you say you have flexibility on price, I would price it at €8990, making it the cheapest Zoe 40kWh of them all. Even a touch cheaper than a 2017 from a dealer. And very good value compared with the good few overpriced 22kWh Zoes out there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,215 ✭✭✭...Ghost...

I'm a fussy fvck, so take with a grain of salt.

You have not added any text to the ad yourself. A couple of lines, no more than a paragraph can be helpful. As simple as "Selling my lovely Zoe after x years of trouble free ownership due to upgrade/change of car yada yada." Helps to be honest I find when it comes to potential buyers making contact. I never believe the "owner emigrating" stuff.

Sorry @unkel I personally don't like ads that are a few euro shy of an even 500 or 1k. When I see these, I think the seller is going to be tight, or I instinctively knock €490 off the asking before considering my real negotiating price. It's a pet hate when it's a private sale of a relatively low value car.

    Images:

    1. Grand.
    2. Not good. High front angle of Zoe is best avoided.
    3. Not good. straight back angle the zoe looks like a dazed frog.
    4. best to take side photos at a front or rear angle, similar to image 1.
    5. as above.
    6. No comment, other than rto say there is no good image of the infotainment system.
    7. Good framing, but photo is blurry.
    8. Terrible photo. Look at the dirt showing on the sills. Bad angle. Try copy angle of image 7.
    9. No, no, no, no, no! No baby, or booster seats. Buyers don't want to see this. Even if they have kids, they don't want to think of another childs sticky hands and mucky feet soiling the interior. Get the seat out of the car for photos and viewings.
    10. as above. Also only 1 photo of back seats is fine. Maybe take one of the boot if you want to show off how roomy it is 😁

    The add is fine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,089 ✭✭✭marketty

Thanks for the replies, ad is only up 2 days, I'm considering dropping the price a bit already just to generate a bit more interest over the weekend but at the same time not in a huge rush to sell either.

@...Ghost... I appreciate the honest and detailed feedback! I did notice the dirty sills after taking that pic and have cleaned up since, might just take that photo off altogether.

The booster seat is deliberately left in for that photo tbh, anyone I've had in the back seat has always commented that it was a bit more spacious than they expected and surprised that even the big rear facing child seat fits. Booster is out for viewings.

I might take one of the boot now that I've taken all the clutter out of it for viewings!

Very cheap for a 2019 Zoe and looks in good nick. These cars gave no trouble and a relatively bulletproof used buy.

22kw AC charging is a real bonus these days.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,294 ✭✭✭✭listermint

    Ad gone, must have sold

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,089 ✭✭✭marketty

Yep she was gone in less than a week! I was happy to move it on quickly as I had a new car bought and I think the new owners were pretty happy with the price! It was my first EV and a great little car. I agree on the 22kw AC, I always found it very handy. My new car doesn't have that but does have 100kw DC so I just have to plan differently when on longer trips. Would be nice to have at least 11kw AC but unfortunately not.

I think the new Zoe/Megane/Scenic all have 22kw AC and CCS if I'm not mistaken? Best of both worlds!

Edit: Sold for nearly twice the trade in value I was offered btw!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,210 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Glad to hear you got good money for it, sounds like an honest car. EV trade in values are a joke at the minute.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,702 ✭✭✭CoBo55

All trade in values regardless of vehicle type are dreadful, I shudder to imagine what the market will be like in 26 when my PCP is finishing.

Good little cars. Surprisingly spacious and good summer range from the z.e.40 model.

Hello, I'm most likely going to be selling my Tesla Model Y RWD in the coming weeks. Very early days, but we're expecting, so that's going to be child # three (unless it's twins!! hahah)…

We're often five in the car as is, since we give lifts to the mother in law or cousins so seriously considering going for an EQB now that they're reasonably priced (2nd hand)!

My model Y RWD is in really, really good condition throughout… Bought it in late March 23, just shy of 30,000km, beautiful white interior, never an issue… Some a..hole did slam their door against our back passenger's and has a small dent, that's about it as you can see in the pictures. I have the original 19" wheel covers too, they're actually new, took them off when i took delivery.

If anyone is interested, please feel free to PM me, i can send more pictures and even videos on whatsapp and can arrange viewings too. i'll have it professionally valeted and the ad will follow up shortly then.

Thinking of asking for €34,500 but would consider offers from €33,500 (with the promo code "boardsie discount") 😀

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,210 ✭✭✭joe1303l

A Dent Doctor should be able to sort that door for small money. You might want to reconsider an EQB though if you need space. ? They are really cramped in the rear row. I wouldn’t like to have a child in those seats if you were unlucky enough to be rear ended.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 144 ✭✭The Mist

Thank you Joe! I have to do some more research for sure, I really want to stay electric though if possible but my budget won't stretch over 45k really (and that's already a big, big push)... So not many more options.. we'll see but definitely appreciate appreciate the feedback and will do my homework.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,210 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Decent 6/7 seater vehicles have always been expensive. Very few suitable EV’s in that space especially on the used market.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,733 ✭✭✭✭ELM327

EQB is NOT a seven seater. Not if your kids have legs and/or you want to put stuff in the boot.

If you want a seven seat EV I'd look at a used model X - these can be had below 40k now, or a new EV9 (much more expensive).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 144 ✭✭The Mist

My oldest is 5, so they dont have legs, no, but take your and Joe's points re the EQB.

Model X is the dream, was even before having kids, but cheapest i've seen is 45k and have 1 year warranty… I'm worried about all potential expenses down the line?

Unless i looked into importing from UK, but i imagine that'd be quite costly now, even if i can see quite a few decent options around the £25k mark.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,733 ✭✭✭✭ELM327

    Don't import from the UK.
45k but you could bargain down. With a used X (and I had a 7 seat X75D) you'd need a slush fund for out of warranty items. Dealer warranty would not really help here as the usual problems (screen/MCU and doors) are not covered anyway. The new MCU is 1500 quid from tesla. The doors are around 200-300 apiece to fix (the handles have issues on older cars, and the falcon wings can scratch the paintwork over time).

Outside of that they are a great car and very good for space even with 7 adults (we had 7 full sized people in ours and it was grand even in the third row). The only reason I sold my X75D was it was on 22' wheels and we would struglle to get more than 220km range on the motorway. With a weekly 220km drive on the motorway it simply didnt work and I traded it for a 3.

Great cars and I'd have another one (a 90D/100D/LR/P) in a heartbeat.

Currently I have the model 3 and then a diesel XC90 for when 7 seats, towing or carrying a large load is needed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 144 ✭✭The Mist

Thank you Elm, appreciate all the detail. Been talking to a dealer and gave me a very decent quote on a Model X 75D, so even if range would also be a slight concern (plus the potential costly repairs)… it is the front runner for me! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,210 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Sounds like a plan especially if you could pay to extend the warranty with Tesla.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 66,220 ✭✭✭✭unkel

Did you see this 2019 one?

First owner car. The car is obviously 2 years newer than the one you are looking at, which means 2 extra years of battery / motor / drivetrain warranty. Also the car has MCU2 as standard, which makes a big difference in usability and something you would have to pay Tesla €1550 for if you bought a 2017 car. A must have upgrade. The white interior would also be a must for me, it makes the car look more modern, brighter and more upmarket. And don't worry with small kids, it cleans up very well.

It is for sale quite some time, they probably got their new car already. A serious but low ball offer of not much more than €40k could get it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,866 ✭✭✭✭fits

don’t think so. As far as I know they didn’t have an ev until recently at least

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,210 ✭✭✭joe1303l

Quite unusual to find a one owner car of such high value at 5 years old. Looks mint in the photos. Tesla must have offered a paltry trade in value if the ad text is factual. Can you extend the Tesla warranty on a car like this or is it too late in terms of age/mileage ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,733 ✭✭✭✭ELM327

If you can live with the range (and as a raven model it would have 10-15% more range than I had) thats a fantastic buy.

I'm not sure that Tesla offer that extended warranty here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 144 ✭✭The Mist

I've put in a deposit on a model x ! Very, very excited, got a great deal!

Thank you Joe, ELM and Unkel for your advice, honestly never thought i'd be able to afford a model x, not like the one i'll be getting anyways! :)

I'll add more details once I actually take delivery (expected in two weeks)
