That was just unbelievable tv, this series just keeps on getting better and better. Varga has to be one of the best tv show characters ever, best villan anyways, so menacing but so calm and calculated, great to watch.

Was delighted to see Nikki survive thought she was a goner, It wouldn't be the same without her.

Dearbhla Walsh directed that episode and the one next week.

it's great, the police interview at the station didn't work for me though

Brilliant, I'm not Ewan's biggest fan but he's batting out of the park here. Dearbhla Walsh directed that episode, if I'm reading about the correct one she used to direct Ros Na Run episodes. Inspirational! David T is amazing, his teeth are the star of the show so far.

    Another brilliant episode

It's such a well made show

Sorry to see Ray go. I was kinda hoping him and Nikki would win out in the end somehow. Nikki did seem to genuinely love Ray no matter how implausible their relationship looked.

I don't really understand why Emmit didn't help him more though i.e. call and ambulance or try to stop the flow of blood even though Ray was most likely goosed when he pulled out that shard of glass.

Maybe Varga has finally met his match with Gloria. She wasn't buying anything he was selling. It was very funny that he couldn't find anything online about her.

It's really picking up after a rather slow start.

I think Ray was always going to struggle to survive the series, crime was completely out of his comfort zone, Fargo isn't very sympathetic to these type of characters, He was great tho so sorry to see him gone. Atleast they didn't get Nikki and she may still win out in the end, They seem to be totally underestimating her. At first I was thinking she was using him but as time went by it became clear that she had a genuine fondness for him.

Emmit probably felt Ray was going to die even if he helped him and then he would be implicated in his murder, He's a coward and was always going to choose the route of less resistance, It was interesting that he chooses to call Varga over his "Fixer".

I don't think the series has been slow at all, It just takes time to establish the story. Still 4 episodes to go and can't wait to see how it ends.

McGregor has been doing a great job I must say.

Quality episode once again, the whole series just seems so smooth in continuity.

Turns out my wife knows the art director for this (a friends brother in law), worked on Inception too. Having a set sale in Calgary next week it turns out.

Bump! Channel 4 tonight - it would appear they've already lost some faith in Fargo by bumping this to a midweek 10 PM slot with the Handmaids Tale getting the juicy Sunday 9 PM US import slot.

The stupidity of Gloria's boss (the incoming chief) takes me out of the show. I know it's a staple of the series but they should try to keep it at least faintly believable.

I think there are other aspects of the show that make are less believable tbh. He's your stereotypical lazy cop, It's not stupidity it's the fact that he doesn't want the hassle and takes the easy option of the simple explanation.

That episode was a bit slower than recent ones but It was still brilliant. Easily my favourite show at the moment.

Nikki finds herself in yet another sticky situation at the end it will be interesting to see if she gets out of this one, She played the cat in a previous episode so hopefully she's got a few lives left yet. The guy sitting beside her looked very much like one of the goons from season 1, the mute/deaf one, I reckon it's him and he may come to her rescue.

Quality episode. Seeing the S1 goon was great, a nice tie in.

I am also robbing that line "syphillated floozie", too funny. Sy is great!

Where this season was in my rankings among other tv shows wasn't settling down. It was unclear.. maybe hazy.

Now it's rapidly hitting the top episode mark each week it comes out.

The complex story, the individual scenes, the acting, the direction.

I mean like any one of these bits were top notch:
      *
    Gloria recueing Nikki
    *
Sy having his pause and cry moment. The delivery was brilliant
    *
The hope but yet suspense in the final scene on the bus because it's unclear if Nikki is being rescued or captured
    *
Ruby Goldfarbs acting by Mary McDonnell is top quality! She has to be a player in this!

This feels like this is some Game of Thrones level complex story telling... and like.. is it just for this one season?

The fake police officer with the syringe. Is it the same nerdy guy from Road Trip who banged a large girl with leopard skinned panties?

    We're all in this psy-op together.🤨

I know it's been said before, but David Thewlis is absolutely superb. Whatever the TV equivalent of "Best Supporting Actor" is, he has to be a shoe-in.

So, how is this season? The second one freaked me out a bit with all the native/non-native allusions. Is this one 'safe'?

Haven't watched any of this 3rd series so far, is it as good/better as the 1st 2?
I loved everything about series 1, the 2nd one was really good too but the last episode kinda made me like it less than the 1st.

Season 3 is the best so far, IMHO. The performances from the top three male leads alone make it a cut above.

Ya recognised him instantly he's very strange looking, I would assume he will get more screen time before the end, Hopefully he has a scene with Varga, the creepiness would be off the scale.

Nah. There is absolutely no sexist pre-dispostion with me, but David Thewlis, Michael Stahlberg and Ewan McGregor are in a different league. David Thewlis especially.

I'm off to watch Gangster No. 1, which he's very good in and where he plays also plays a gangster.

I wasn't insinuating you had any sexist disposition.

Thewlis is great but it must be said that his character gives him alot more artistic freedom, Varga is so eccentric that he's always going to steal the show, I think Carrie Coon and Mary Elizabeth Winstead are doing great playing characters that are alot more based in reality, which in some ways is more difficult.

The 2 female cops seem a bit misplaced in this season

I dunno. They have a feel to them that reminds me of the Season 1 cop

Varga and Stussey on the phone:
"I think we need more men"
"What kind of men? Short men? Melancholy?"
    That is just pure genius.
I don't know how a writer would come up with weird lines like that. I thought it might be a reference to something but I googled it and can't see anything
