Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Interested to see how he gets on. He has done well with smaller clubs in Italy.

Good for Napoli and Samp, but awful for Inter really. Entertaining man mind.

Is there a particular reason or just because we go against the norm?

Very happy with the appointment and think it's an improvement on Flores. We've a couple of players coming in who were signed in January and sent on loan to Granada so it will be interesting to see who else we sign. We have a strong enough core but always need to improve. A new RB, CM and some wingers. Maybe a striker too. Delighted that 3 at the back is back at the club too. Last year was the first year in 5/6 years that it wasn't the staple of our tactics.

    Watford for champions league places!
He is a proper coach. Well used to working with the players he is given. When he settles on his best XI he tends to stick to them. I believe that was 1 of the criticisms levelled at Quique.
    Interesting summer ahead for Watford.

Maybe he will be there for 3 years if he is a success but thats not really how Watford operate as you say.

Its a good appointment but based on what I've seen its not an improvement on Flores or at least not a big improvement. As for the 3 at the back tactics maybe its a sign that for the first time in 5/6 years it wasn't used it also happened to be the most successful season in a long time......not used regularly in the EPL probably for good reason.

I wouldn't hold Inter against him.

They have been a basketcase club for the last 4-5 years.

Reading some comments from Watford fans saying that another of the main reasons Quique got the sack was that he refused to play with wingers.
And the club have recruited some like 18 year old Penaranda and Jerome Sinclair. Ok... and are looking at a 17 year old Mali winger Ale Malle.

But WM 3-4-2-1 formation doesn't allow for wingers either! Plays with FB/Wing back type.
