Cliff Jumping at Old Head, Westport

Hey guys,

I know there are places for cliff jumping around Old Head in Westport, but can't seem to pinpoint where. I know one of the jumps is called Maxwell's Leap, does anyone have the coordinates so I can punch it into Google Maps and make my way there?

Any help is much appreciated!

I wouldn't advise going there on your own, if you don't know the place exactly.
Get someone who knows the place and knows which jumps are suitable, depending on tide, swell, etc...

Cheers for the info...I'm not interested in jumping it at all, way out of my comfort zone. Just trying to supplement my own knowledge of the place!

Anyone else who can help? Information is very much appreciated!

Place where you see the pin on the map above is where paths split (when walking west).
Take the one towards the right going along the cliffs (not the one going up the hill).
Within that 200 metres there are few places suitable for cliff jumping, but only when you know exactly which ones and at what conditions, and even then higher ones are not really safe.

No one will be able to exactly pin point you places to jump on google maps.

Please read the comments from that video, lots of broken backs. You need to be real careful here. I have done this many times and you need to be prepared. Do at your own pearl.

A mate of mine used to be involved in one of the adventure centres down there, and they do an organised version of this activity at that spot with wetsuits, footwear and head protection. Coasteering is what I believe they call it.
