Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Kickstarter campaign for Simpli Press- a rethinking of the French Press - has tripled its goal with 25 days still to go. I guess people like the idea of a French Press with "no mess" -

Solving a problem which doesn't exist comes to mind. Add a dash of water to used French press, pour water+used grinds into drain. Rinse the filter under the tap and you are done.

With the simplipress you'd end up burning your hand if you wanted to clean it straight away.

I must say I'm not convinced by this either.

Personally I'd love a big aeropress. Surprised they haven't come up with one yet.

I think the filter is the real innovation of use here. It looks like it gives you a great opportunity to customise your brew to how you like it. And it looks like you will get a much cleaner brew than a typical French Press.

Although I admit the easy-clean design is also useful.

This is the first time I have been seriously tempted by a Kickstarter project....
