I thought I heard him say that alright :pac:

In fairness he does seem like a nice genuine lad any time i have seen him interviewed or when he is on TV doing this sort of work. Just seems to be trying a little too hard or something. Almost like he realizes what a dull set up TV3 is and he is trying to overcompensate for the overall ****tyness of it.

With Sky you have to take Sky Box sets and the full HD package to get TV3 HD

Thought souness Lennon and the tv3 presenter were really good last night. Not afraid to hold back. Duff has been brilliant on RTE too.

I found the TV3 coverage of england incredibly harsh. They played well for once, were much the better team and got sucker punched at the end with russia scoring an undeserved equalizer. From the way the TV3 panel went on about it, you would think they were rubbish.

The textbook approach to commentary is to say little, and let the pictures do the talking. If you are the second 'colour' commentator then you certainly should only be heard from time to time.

Yeah but that's only 720 for most "HD" channels.

They have very few 1080 channels, and the difference is blatantly obvious on Saorview.

They should call it "Sky HD-Ready"

Had high hopes for her, she seems to know a little more about Turkey but I got the feeling she didn't really do any preparation or research about Croatia at all

Was a couple of nice, attractive women in view during the opener. Not stereotypically stunning, more alluring.
Chances are they were just captured on camera, and there's been a bit of a backlash - especially seeing as how the camera spent more time on the crowd in the last World Cup than at the pitch.

Football's been good so far thankfully.

They did seem to overdo it at the wc. Im just taking the piss with pc line of course, but I enjoy seeing some of the costumes the fan don in these tournaments.
Good football is the main thing though.

Jesus can TV3 not find anybody better then Emma Byrne and Paul Mc Shane as pundits ? I mean seriously there must be so many pro footballers ex and current with a bit more media experience and pedigree within the game who would actually give some insight rather than stutter and stumble and state the bleeding obvious.... I dunno maybe they pay ****e and that's all they could get ?

I'd love to see one of the stations move away from current/ex-footballers. There's a vast amount of people on the internet who understand and talk football every day who release articles and do analysis who could give us a far more technical insight in to the game. You don't necessarily have to have played the game to understand and talk about it.

There are no television channels on any platform, satellite/UPC or Saorview that are broadcast in 1080p (ie full hd) , they are all broadcast in 1080i which is the exact same as 720p, i.e hd ready
