DBS MBA vs Smurfit / TCD

As a part time evening Masters course, on the face of it the latter 2 seem to have similar content while DBS structure and syllabus is different. Is it like apples and oranges? A case of " you get what you pay for"? Or is there just an element of prestige (=snobbery ) attached to the Smurfit one - a bit like sticking a " designer " label on runners or a bag and charging far more?
That's not to say that it might not be worth more but rather that it's not worth 20,000 (!!) more.
The price of the DBS MBA at 10k is quite attractive and almost affordable but ultimately pointless if not value for money.

Has anyone any experience of either, or an opinion on the courses?

It is important to remember that the colleges themselves are businesses and will heavily market their offerings. Be wary of colleges saying that their degree is WORTH x thousand euro when what they really mean is it COSTS x thousand euro.

Colleges tend to be more preoccupied with their ratings than employers. An an employer would rarely give preference to one college's MBA over another unless perhaps the hiring manager went to a particular college him/herself and needed some self validation of their own MBA.

I have spent a long time weighing up all the various MBA's and came to the conclusion, if you can afford it - TCD/UCD/DCU are by far the best option.
The GMAT entrance is a very good indicator of the ranking of the MBA, if you don't need to do an GMAT, it is not as highly ranked. Of course it depends on what you hope to achieve by doing an MBA, but for me if you can stretch to those top level ones they stand out significantly.
