The US Coast Guard ship Eagle is visiting Ireland this week. The vessel is the training ship for the US Coast Guard and is a hugely impressive sight on the water. I see it's a Nazi ship, with the original swastika expunged from the eagle figurehead.

Went down today with the family. Interesting visit. Crew were happy to answer any and all questions.
Looks like they are leaving about 6pm on Tuesday. Will be interesting to go out to Howth to see them open the sails once in open water.
