Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Kroos oozes class.

Was just going to write something about Modric, their partnership with Casemiro is brilliant

Best way to stop Atletico is give them the ball.

Ramos shirt was being ripped off him for the goal. So the offside call probably balances out.

Anybody, anywhere CAN make a mistake, but this guy has gotten the job ahead of all the other linesmen in Europe for the sole reason that he has been trusted to not make these mistakes.

But how can you be sure they would have called it, their is no way to be certain

There's no excuse. It was a set piece, not like he was running to catch up with play, he was set (i assume) in the perfect position to spot an offside, and he failed.

Good performance from Ronnie Madrid so far. Dull to watch but doing a professional job and stopping Atletico from getting up to their usual tricks.

Real are inviting Atletico and they seem to be struggling with it, Zidane has definitely won the tactical battle so far.

Great atmosphere for this final the San Siro is an incredible stadium.

Mark Clattenburg has to have one of the most punchable faces in the hisrtory of humanity.

I didn't say it was certain. I'm just saying that this guy has f*cked up in a way that has massively altered the course of the biggest game in club football. No excuses can be made for that.

Zidane has got his tactics spot on so far.

23 cm offside apparently. As you can imagine I did not make those calculations myself. Whichever TV station Jan Aage Fjortoft works for is the source.

They've just run about 5 replays on RTE and there is barely even contact between them, certainly not contact that impedes Ramos in any way.

Oh I agree he got it wrong (just saw replay), The way I look at it, if he wasnt sure and thought it was on, he should always keep the flag down. The game is about scoring goals

There's no official in the world who's incapable of making a mistake in a final like this. It was definitely offside but very close to call at the time when you have to consider the touch off Bale's ahead and where Ramos is at that time without benefits of a replay.

This linesman hasn't got the gig because he's best in the world, he's got it because UEFA have decided to give this year's final to English officials.

    Carrasco will do

We're not talking about incapable though. Nobody is incapable of making a mistake, but when you f*ck up in such a big game, you deserve the criticism. His screwup probably sends the Champions League to the Bernabeu.

I think Torres manufactured that penalty and probably good Griezmann failed to score.

That penalty miss was a disgrace. What on Earth are you doing blasting it so hard? It's not triple glazing that you've to break through.

Hopefully video replays (if they come in) will end these debates. The goal was offside. It should have been chalked off.
