Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jaysus what a turnaround, Real could nearly have had it put to bed a minute earlier.

Some goal celebration. Who was the fine thing he was kissing i wonder?

    Brilliant Yannick.

Ronaldo at the other end trying to be fancy should have made it 2.

Ronnie must be reading this thread

Taking Kroos off for Isco was bloody stupid. They aren't the same type of player.

Griezemann the best player on the field in the second half, didn't go missing after missing

Must be hurting Ronaldo's planet-sized ego that Bale has considerably outperformed him in Real's recent CL finals.

I am. It's unusual for him to be missing in a big game.

He has a very poor record in big matches, for club and country.

Bale has been brilliant tonight, he has really stepped up while Ronaldo has been a no show.

I don't really care how this ends up as long as pepe pea doesn't get the winner.

The collective cheering for Atleti to win from members who would probably be at each others throats normally is giving me a warm fuzzy feeling..

It's not even an Ireland Euro 2016 match thread :D

Is it? I certainly don't think his reputation is that of a big game player.

Bale looks likes he's bulked up also
Impressed with his performance. Welsh fans will be happy no doubt

How many El Classico goals does he have again?

No never ever, just a peno taker, he's useless

It's one of the biggest myths out there that he doesn't turn up in big games.

Hes not a big game player....he's also not a no-show. Sometimes he performs on the big occasions and sometimes he doesn't. Like 95% of players out there. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

When you have Simeone as your manager, you know better than to dare feel tired.

It isn't btw. Club and country, he's so often failed to be the difference maker in the very biggest games.

Ronaldo was pants in the last CL final too and in the Barca/United final years ago.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,709 ✭✭✭shrewdness

Ronaldo has definitely been poor tonight, but it's another chance for the old "never does it in the big games" myth to get dragged back up.

    Yellow only tho

Fair played to Clattenburg. Sarcastic clapping deserved a card.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,061 ✭✭✭keith16

    That is a clear red.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Cynical, 3 vs 1, referees should be given more power in that situation. A flaw in the sport.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

Stupid from gabi, ramos was never going to be sent off there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Some seriously impressive hand flailing from Clattenburg there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,561 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Atletico players will be much better placed to go 120 minutes in my opinion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

1-1 is a very fair result.

great tackle though, he has to do it, obv very cynical but, i think simeone would appreciate that tackle himself if he was honest.
