I dont mind Evans and was willing to give him a chance but his voiceover and presenting is grating a bit already. He just seems to be doing an imitation of Jeremy. They should (and may yet do) have tried to go in their own direction with it.

I don't know if its crap sound mixing or just evans being a cock , but every time he goes 'woooah' i have to turn down the tv.

so far unimpressed.

Evans doing the voiceover for the stig lap makes it sound like a horse racing commentator commenting on a game of tiddlywinks.

The old Top Gear became extremely scripted and noticeably so, but the lads were well used to it and we grew into it.

This is extremely scripted with new people and it's not working for me.

I wanted to like this more than I am so far.

I never liked Chris Evans and nothing has changed in the last 23 minutes.

Was neutral about Le Blanc and he hasn't impressed yet.

Don't know about Sabine.

Overall, it's sh1te. Being the inaugural programme, this is probably as good as it will get with this team of producers and presenters.

Sh1t but better than the last several seasons imo.

The top gun thing. It should have been awesome but it just didn't work. It was like when you watch and love a show when you're a kid and then your parents start to like it and it ruins it for you.

The new star in a rallycross car is way better than the old format I think, I usually skipped through that. Rest of the show is rubbish so far.

Those of a certain age will remember BBC Grandstand and when they had auto cross (now called rally cross apparently) from Lydden Hill in Kent.

I'm not sure this will work, but at least it's new.
