Hi guys. After some great advice on the laptop forum, I think the best option for me would be to forget getting the laptop and use the money to build a PC that would be more powerful. I wouldn't have a clue how to go about building so would probably need a website that can do it for me (or that have ready made builds) or if anyone on here is selling a PC they built that would fulfill my needs.

    Thanks for any help.

    1. What is your budget? €1500

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming mainly. Want to be able to play any type of game on it. From old classics to new releases. Would also want the computer to last a good few years so I won't have to mess around with it myself to upgrade it. I'd also like it to be really quick for everyday use like internet, streaming etc.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

    5. Do you need a monitor? Yes

5a. If yes, what size do you need? 22" but wouldn't mind going bigger if the price doesn't change much

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Keyboard and mouse

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? Not sure what it is

    8. How can you pay? Credit card/Paypal

    9. When are you purchasing? As soon as possible

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Dublin

Thanks again for any help. Much appreciated.

Where did all the money go lol. Plus, wouldn't it be better to use an ITX chassis when you use an ITX board? (Just so you don't waste space in the fairly large CoolerMaster Pro)

    Core i5 6400: €165
    Aftermarket cooler: €30
    8GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM: €35
    MSI B150A Pro: €80
    beQuiet Pure Power 9 500W: €70
    128GB Samsung 850 EVO: €60
    1TB HDD: €45
    NZXT S340/Phanteks Eclipse P400: €80
    1440p 24" Monitor: €200
Windows Key from Kinguin (make sure it's a picture and not plain text. This insures you receive a legit OEM key): €25
    GTX 1070: €400
This leaves €180 for keyboard and mouse.

I think the 1070 will be more like €500 than €400

    Hi, first forum post ever.
I'd buy the best non k i5 you can and try put as much money as possible on a gpu. The 980's are getting very cheap now. Also if you need to squeeze a few more euro's download a win 10 trial and buy a licence later. Also look for a Z97 board, i always find there going cheap in the clearance sections of the big web stores. Best of luck with the build.

Got a monitor off a friend so just need everything else :P

Is there any sites that you can buy ready made pcs for a good price? I think I'd be useless at putting the computer together myself the more I look into it.

Are PC specialist a bit too expensive?

Any reliable sellers on adverts or ebay?

    Thanks

You should reach out to the ocuk staff, explain your situation and I bet they will take care of you. Seriously though, YouTube would teach you to build your rig within a few hours.
