Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone else think Keith Andrews is an excellent colour commentator? Every time he's done matches I've been pleasantly surprised.

I hope Given is not the Third keeper in the squad if so he might as well only pick 2

    Great goal tbf!

6 posts on the thread at the time of writing, would have thought people would have more interest if players are still scrapping for squad places

He's guaranteed to be 2nd choice unfortunately going off his reputation alone.

Yep. Agree. Interesting comment on his former midfield partner Darren Gibson and the work he is putting in.

Yeah he's nowhere near the biggest outsider in the squad as McIntyre was trying to say.

He is one of the most overrated Irish players ever though and wouldn't be completely shocked if he misses out tbh.

Nice flow to the game in fairness.

Friendlies (club and country) are just the complete opposite to some of the trash we see these days with people making meals of every f'ing challenge.

Some selection headache for O'Neil..."Do I HAVE to take 23 of 'em?"

    McGeady is shocking.

This is awful from ireland christie being hung out to dry and the midfield is ****.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,850 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

Wow, Hendrick must be on a serious workout these days. Looking massive!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,915 ✭✭✭Morrison J

McGeady devoid of all confidence now that he's finally found his rightful club level.

Must have the best agent in football to have managed to play at such a high level for so many years.

Would like to see O'Dowda come on to see what he can do

First time Murphy has found a teammate - after a clearance slams against the back of his head.

    Was that actually the case?
I thought his loan conditions didn't include the play offs.

Haven't seen Irwin on TV in years. Bet he only went because it's on in Cork.

Not a performance that's inspiring any confidence for the Euros right now, and I'd like to see the team go into that tournament on a confident footing, not asking questions at the back. Is Ireland's morale a bubble waiting to be popped or can they really put it up to the others at the Euros and not go limp like the last time?

Daryl Murphy misses a sitter from a peach of a cross by McGeady. It's infuriating but we still do need a big fan like him in the final squad. If a situation does occur where we need a late goal he'd be the type of player to nod a ball down for someone to score from.

no not playing great imo... in fairness it's not our Euro starting 11 thats out on the pitch... a lot of poor players out there tonight...

I'd say a lot of them dont want to get injured either ..

What do you expect? We have always struggled against the "weaker" opposition for the last few years.
Does no one remember Georgia away, and how bad we were, what about Georgia at home, or scotland too. How about Kazakhstan in the last campaign.

Im guessing we will do decent in the euros, and be very tough for the teams in our group, but doubt we'll win a match. No chance of going limp over there
