Today was the first day of this weekly event and it was great, the buzz on the boardwalk was unreal. Good few food stalls and vans and tons of people about. The weather helped a good bit but there was great enjoyment around it.

Managed to score some free ice cream from Jack Fitzgerald Electrical too.

Looks great, hopefully it is supported as would be good to have stuff like this available during the week in Limerick

There were queues for food at the Khing Thai stall and a falafel stand. Plenty folk having ice cream too from the van!

Would love to see our two competing burrito joints attend too.

Today wasn't the first day. It's been going out for about 4 weeks! I was able to get my lunch there for the past few weeks on a Wednesday....unfortunately today was so busy I couldn't :pac:

It's great to see this, hopefully it's not kust a flash in the pan (no pun intended) and is the start of something that grows and maybe even happens a few times a week.

Just got down at 4 for look and seemed shut down
    Crepe,coffee,giddle cake,wheatgrass and fafeafal stall
    Was there more?

Needs to be fully blocked to traffic shows what can be done

There was an Ice-cream van, Hot-Dog Stand, Khing Thai and a few others, they even had a singer with a guitarist.

I dont think it needs to be fully blocked to traffic though.

That broadwalk should have and in future should be fully pedestrianised
Much more room no worry about traffic with kids etc

There are bollards at either side of Clohessys that come up from the street...maybe they could raise them? Then again...the council are a bit stupid when it comes to raising bollards.

With the good weather the traders should be staying open alot longer

They really missed a trick when they did the boardwalk. The area is dominated by cars still and not nearly as usable or enjoyable as it could be. Should have at least reduced it to a single lane of traffic, maybe with a contra-flow cycle lane.

The sooner we get professionals in charge of this city the better!!

You seem to be very negative towards them, did they do something to you?

I'm assuming they will be closing unless they have a marquee down on the boardwalk which they could well have.

Fair enough but dont shut up shop at a lovely prime location at 3 in the day in tourist season
