Volumising products for straight hair

Hey all I have long, straight hair with a few long layers. I'd like to try some new products for adding volume and holding a backcombed style. Hey all

I have long, straight hair with a few long layers.

I'd like to try some new products for adding volume and holding a backcombed style.
I usually just spray in some Batiste dry shampoo before backcombing the roots and then hairspray; it does work well but unfortunately doesn't hold for very long.

I'm going out this weekend so would like to find a product that holds a style for the whole night.

Any suggestions?

Something like this might work! I've had a hairdresser apply a similar type of product when she was doing an up style in my hair last year.
