    Hey Guys,

Quick question.. Looking to embed a few videos from youtube on my new website. This is probably the easy bit.

The second part is i want people to stay only stay on my site, look at these videos and not delve back into Youtube.

Is there a way to only see the embedded video on your site and not allow full access to Youtube ?

Nope, it doesn't work that way unfortunately.

If you pay for a service like Vimeo, or self-host them you'll have more control over how they're displayed.

    Thanks Trojan,

One thing you might find useful is to stick ?rel=0 on the end of the YouTube embed URL and it won't show related videos.

Actually there's a couple more things you can add that might be useful:

    ?hd=1&rel=0&cc_load_policy=0&showsearch=0&showinfo=0

You can see an example here (the video in the monitor is a YouTube embed).

Also check out Wistia if you're looking at paid video hosting services (and check AppSumo, they sometimes have deals on Wistia).

    +1 on Wistia

They usually have a bunch of promo codes floating around to host the first 6 - 12 videos for free.

If you have just a few videos and not a huge audience then you can host them yourself and use video.js to play them.

If you need to host more than a few and have a bigger audience then Wistia or Vimeo Pro is your best bet.

Wistia is great for analytics and other special features but for high traffic/bandwidth it's difficult to beat Vimeo Pro.

Vimeo Pro also allows direct access to the video files themselves so you can use video.js or similar and build your own customised player.
