New Gaming/Video editing build.

Hi guys,
Looking to build a PC in the near future.
Main use for Video editing and Photoshop / Lightroom.
Only game I play is CSS.

I already have a Case / Keyboard + Mouse.

Can anyone suggest a set-up that would keep me going?

Looking to get a price of total parts needed, happy to build myself.

CSS isn't a very demanding game, so take a look at http://www.logicalincrements.com/ and figure out how much you want to spend - I'd say a build in the Good-Great range would suit you.

Pulled the €100 out of my arse to be honest, I didn't think they'd be so much over it, sorry. The Samsung 850 Evo is about €140 I believe. That or a 250gb is about €70

Probably a stupid question here, built a computer years and years ago and I have that case which I was going to re-use.
Is it likely that the new components will fit? Or does this vary from build to build?

Can get a make / model later on if needed.

Does amazon tend to be the cheapest by the way? Any other suggestions? I used to use komplette.ie.

How do these choices look to you?

Should I be looking at a DDR4 Motherboard? Is there a huge difference?

Also, I have a 450 Watt Power supply already, would this need to be upgraded?

Ah I just don't bother with it, 90% of my posting is from mobile so messing with that stuff is awkward at times.

Get a DDR4 board yeah sorry. DDR3 isn't good for Skylake.

You'll need a cooler if you want an overclockable CPU, that's what the K suffix means.

Very much depends on if you are putting a graphics card in there. Given your requirements, I can't see 450W being taxed as if you do need to get a new GPU, then a 750TI would fit your needs I think. Maybe a 950 if you wanted to push a little harder.

Do you mean 560TI? That card doesn't exists according to Wikipedia.
If you did mean the GTX 560 TI, then I don't think you need to upgrade.

If I were you, I'd buy the MSI Z170-A PC MATE/Pro so you can overclock your i7 for a boost in single thread applications.
As for RAM, 2400MHz and 16GB DDR4 will do.
Your GPU is old, but there is always the GTX 750Ti for some upscaling work in Lightroom etc.
Whilst a 500GB SSD won't come cheaply, the Samsung 850 EVO is perhaps the best performer on the market for it's price. It also keeps it's performance down the line, so it could be worth the investment.
A 450W PSU would be good just to keep things quiet and cool.

A GTX750Ti has a lot more CUDA cores than a 560Ti, I suppose it depends on what program you're using really, but the actual game performance would be similarish, a 750Ti would still be faster though and benefits from newer drivers. It's also way more power friendly, almost 300% more so in fact. If you meant a 550Ti, then for both gaming and other GPU driven editing tasks, a 750Ti is a major ugprade.
