Anybody know where you can get tar soap in the city? Do you use it? Why? What's good about it? What's it made from? Is it expensive?

Masttis? I was hoping to find it to address a spotty face issue. Heard that it has some properties good for real cleansing. Mastitis is for sheep or something?

It works for helping to treat skin conditions like psoriasis or eczema. You used to be able to get Polytar pretty much everywhere but it disappeared, LUSH have a natural soup with coaltar in it I think.

I've never heard of it being used for achene though.

Acne is not caused by dirty skin. I never wash my face with anything but water and I don't get acne.

In fact harsh cleansers can make the situation worse by stripping the face of it's natural barrier to the outside world. Hop over to https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/wiki/sca_routine for a basic guide.

Tar soap is used to treat itchy and inflamed skin. people with psoriasis use it.

However in the last few years it has been removed from the European market due to concerns that it can cause skin cancer if used excessively.
it is still available in many other areas if the world and can be bought online as far as I know.

Yeah, any tar soap you buy in this country only has the horrible smell, it doesn't have any of the attributes of tar soap.

It's probably not a great idea to use antibacterials to clean your skin. Your skin is a biosphere (that's not the right word, I can't think of it now) there are good bacteria, bad bacteria and essential bacteria. Antibacterial soap can be like a nuke that takes everything away and could just make things worse if it's the bad bacteria that repopulates first.

You could have an imbalance in that bacterial fauna, a hormonal issue, or any number of issues. Do some more research, a doctor may be a good place to start but he's only going to refer you on to a specialist. It's worth finding out if it's something known that can have a targeted treatment applied to it rather than going with the nuclear option straight away.
