Hi Guys. I did a search but could not find anything recent to help me with this.

I need to have the firing pins of my shotgun repaired / replaced.

Has anyone had recent experience of this and if so where?

    Thanks

Call angling and outdoor in Waterford, the guy they use ( Walter?) is very good.

Its a Cogswell and Harrison 12 bore b/l ej. of 1902.

Bottom pin in pictures with slot is not protruding enough to fire cartridge and when I took out the other pin for comparison I found that it was a different type of pin and that it was broken.

Broken pin is 16.5 mm long and other pin is 15.75 mm.

Gerry Gearon near Clonmel might be your best bet for that gun.

    Second this.
He did a complete stripdown, clean and replaced springs for an auto and an O/U for a friend of mine last week for €60.
Very competent with older guns too, though.

Just to give the thread closure. I brought the gun to Jerry Gearon and he fitted new firing pins. He also blued the barrels, top lever and trigger guard. It is working perfectly and I look forward to another 35 years shooting with it.
    Many thanks for the recommendation.

Got him to fix a side by side for me lately aswell. Fixed a dent in the barrel and replaced an ejector kicker top class job and very reasonably priced.
